Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
1) Preheat oven to 180°C.
2) Lay the baking paper provided onto a metal baking tray.
3) Open the steak pack (A). Pat dry with a paper towel & set it aside.
4) Pour carne asada mix (B) into a small bowl & mix well. Add the steak & coat it evenly. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
5) Add 2.5 tablespoons of oil to a cooking pan & bring it to smoking high heat. Sear the meat on both sides until the meat has color.
6) Set to low heat & add the butter (C) into the pan. Cook the steak for 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side. Transfer the meat onto the metal baking tray & bake roast it for 3-4 minutes.
7) After baking set the meat aside for 5-10 minutes to let it rest.
(Tip: Resting the meat encourages fluid retention, making your meat juicy, tender & easier to slice!)
8) Pour the red wine sauce (D) into the pan & bring it to a boil. Set aside.
9) To serve, slice the meat thinly & serve with the red wine sauce on the side.
